LEICESTER star Nick Morris is ‘buzzing’ for the start of the season and is facing a hectic schedule.
Morris, who landed back in the UK at the weekend from his home in Australia, has several meetings lined up before the league racing starts with the Watling JCB Lions.
He races in Lewi Kerr’s testimonial at King’s Lynn this Sunday, Todd Kurtz’s testimonial at Sheffield on Thursday and then the Benevolent fund meeting at Peterborough on Sunday March 27.
And in the middle of all that he will be back racing at the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena, Beaumont Park, for Leicester’s cup tie with Birmingham.
“The start of any season is always exciting and everyone starts again and has high hopes for a good season,” he said. “I’’m no different and can’t wait now for it to start again.”
Morris has confirmed his UK base will again be in Swindon and he will commute to Monmore on Mondays.
“I will be based in Swindon again,” he added. “I’ve been there for the past eight years and it just works perfectly for me.
“The set-up is spot on and I’m happy being there.
“I will be straight back into it the week after I arrive with a few testimonial meetings plus the press days. It’s going to be hectic but that’s exactly how I like it.
“We didn’t have a proper full season last year so it will be good to get back to some sort of normal this season.”
Morris and the team will be at the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena next Friday, March 25, for press and practice with bikes on track around 5pm and fans are welcome.
Season tickets will be available from the hospitality unites on the third bend.
